That list is broken and stupid. Snickers is nowhere near the top.

I've been digging the "big cup" Reese's lately, and the new one with pretzel bits in them are great.
I've never been a big coconut fan, but Mounds and Almond Joy are favorites of mine. |
|
Of those listed, #2 and #9 are favorites of mine.
Reece's peanut butter cups frozen versus Mounds dark chocolate and coconut? tough decision |
|
|
|
Reese's are not a bar.
It's a tough decision after that. ETA: Reeses even says 'cups' on the label. |

1, 3 and 9, in no particular order and dependent on mood.

The worst Ritter Sport beats the shit out of anything made in the US.

Milky Way should be on the list as well, that's what I'd pick for American candy bars. View Quote I always found the Ritters disappointing but their Marzipan will do in a pinch. |

If someone wants a tasty chocolate bar, try the house brand chocolate from Aldi. It's Austrian and pretty good.

Whatever variety you like, this brand is top notch. |

Quoted: I eat a lot of Snickers, and love 'em, but it isn't a chocolate bar. Toblerone isn't on there, nor are Milka (Thanks, @DK-Prof), Ghirardelli, Ritter Sport, any of the Lindt offerings, or Soma from Canuckistan. There are more expensive and arguably better ones out there, but I don't take out loans for snacks. Godiva is expensive and fancy, but it's not as good as some other choices. Out of those, Ritter Sport milk chocolate with hazelnuts is probably my favorite. ETA: Not something I'd have every day, but had one at the behest of a friend, and it was a much better combination than I would have thought possible: https://d2d8wwwkmhfcva.cloudfront.net/800x/d2lnr5mha7bycj.cloudfront.net/product-image/file/large_5b6e4bc1-0761-41a8-b7be-d4679e8e1965.jpg View Quote The Lindt Chili is very fine. |

Literally only 3 are a chocolate bar. The rest are candy bars.

Since people are throwing out candy bars, I'll suggest Cadbury Crunchie from England.

Butternut.........................They quit making them quite a while back.................

Lived off Cadbury fruit and nut bars in England in the 90's because the food was shite. Love'em.
On that least, Heath. On a better list, Caramello. |

As much as it pains me to admit it, Marabou makes some of the best chocolate in the world, especially their milk chocolate hazelnut bar.

OP, you need to travel overseas, expand your taste buds.
European chocolate is light years ahead of US garbage chocolate. |

I am "murican" through and through, but I have been around the world. The chocolate and many of the sweets over seas are so much better than ours. (some of the Russian stuff is shockingly good) Oh and Semper Paratus. :) |

Pump Street, Omnom, Solstice, Raaka, Dick Taylor, Native Forager, Cacao Sampaka, Marou...
At least eat some chocolate worth eating. Not that Hershey dirt shit. Even lower quality euro stuff is better: Milka, Ritter Sport... |
|
I don't want to sound like some raging Eurosnob asshole, but I genuinely feel bad for American kids who are fed swill like Hershey's chocolate, and think they are eating good chocolate.
|

I haven't bought a 3 Musketeers or Mr. Goodbar in at least 30 years, the goodbar maybe never. But I'll eat the shit out of the little ones I get while Trick or Treating, or give out to the kids.

View Quote Its ok to be a snob when we are discussing such an important topic. My colleagues overseas laugh at me cause I fill my luggage with good stuff every time I am over there, you know, before COVID put a stop to travel The chocolates I have bought in Belgium, Holland, Germany, etc., has always been amazing. My buddy took me to this little hole in the wall in Antwerp and I bought close to $200 worth of chocolate. I went to the Christmas Markets in Hamburg 2 years ago and filled an entre suitcase with holiday treats to bring home as a Christmas surprise for the family. |
