the thread on the most expensive cars of arfcom got me thinking of all the pieces of shit I have owned over the years. how many different cars or trucks have you owned over your lifetime? which ones would you love to have back? which ones do you wish would burn in hell?
I went through 4 trucks in high school 1984 F150 extended cab, dad's old truck, damn thing went everywhere 1988 F250 ex cab dually, total POS, but looked damn nice. the back seat was removed and I had a huge speaker box in it's place 1990 F150, brother couldn't make the payments, so it was mine for a week before my brother took it out and got totaled by a drunk illegal. 1994 Ram 1500 (parents put the down payment on it for me as a graduation present) drove that POS dodge through three transmissions till I finally broke down and bought a new 2006 F150 4x4 the 06 has been a damn nice truck, but I finally broke down a few days ago and bought a 2014 F250 crew cab 4x4 and somewhere in there I bought an old 1984 military chevy blazer. it's sitting in the back yard acting like the good money pit it is, but it looks cool |

6 trucks, 12 cars, and about 12 motorcycles.
I would like to have my 1966 Chevelle SS back and my 1977 F-150. Wouldn't mind having a 1970 Chevelle back too. All the vehicles that I owned proved to be pretty good...... I had a 1999 Mits Galant that I wish to hell...... piece of shit. I wish I had ALL of my motorcycles back that I parted with. |
|
I started driving in '93, bought my first vehicle in '95 when I graduated and have owned 5 vehicles not counting my wife's.
|
|
I do not think I could fit all the bikes I have owned over the years in a three car garage. Throw in a half dozen trucks, and a dozen cars, and we are getting there.
|
|
Between my wife and I (she had her first car when we got married):
1986 Ford Tempo GL 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport 1989 BMW 325i (Coupe) 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 1991 Honda Civic DX (Hatchback) 1997 BMW 328i 1993 BMW 525i 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon So...9. We currently own the bolded ones. |

Count is at 32 but I think I am missing a few and I didn't count any of the motor cycles.

Five, including the two I have now.
An SUV, two sedans, a pickup, and a motorcycle. Other than the bike, which I had for two years and sold, my average so far is about 10 years before they get wrecked by an idiot not looking where he was going. |
|
Five.
A minivan A station wagon A truck. A motorcycle. A Jeep. |

I am on number 5 right now. I keep them till they become to much of a problem to keep going.

I have purchased 3 pickups in my life.
Left with just one now |

Huh. Interesting question. Seven. View Quote Yup. Same here. Interesting thread, indeed. Trying to come up with some correlation between ages, numbers of cars, quality of cars, current and previous socio-economic levels of the participants in the thread, but there are too many other factors to come up with any pattern that I can see. Interesting none-the-less. |
