The FN SCAR 15P |
|
Sbr ready scar, I may have to pull the trigger on one of those. I always wanted one.
|
|
|
|
MSRP: $4000
Just kidding, I don’t know that exactly. But it’s a solid guess. |
|
|
|
|
Missed opportunity for a .300blk. Sad.
Cool carrying case though. About time a $3500 gun came with something more than a cardboard box |

Who, in todays world, wants a 7 inch 5.56, and isn’t going to put a can on it. And for that price- you know they are after swat teams and other .gov contracts. You think those people aren’t going to run cans? Wow. |

You think those people aren’t going to run cans? Wow. Warranty is void on full size SCAR rifles when suppressed. FN also increased the price of spare parts for SCAR rifles by as much as 500%. Want to retrofit your reciprocating CH SCAR to a NRCH? The parts to do it are $1500. |

|
Pretty surprising that the MSRP is higher than the 16S NRCH, which comes with double the barrel material and a stock...nothing worse than paying more for less.
Would have been intriguing in the low 3s, but at this price I'd just pony up the extra couple hundred for a 553SB and be slightly less deaf. |
|
I’d go B&T long before getting that thing. After owning SCAR17s, and now having APCs in 556/300/308, there’s nothing there that would get me to get another Scar in 556, esp in pistol/SBR.

You think those people aren’t going to run cans? Wow. He’s making a reference to FN’s stance on their SCARs that they will not warranty guns shot with a suppressor other than the one FN manufactures for the SCAR. FN does not sell those suppressors to the civilian market. Government customers will likely purchase this SCAR with FNs suppressor, so it won’t be an issue for them. As far as .300BLK vs 5.56, I’m going to guess this rifle (or at least the base rifle) was developed to meet a specific customer/government request. They don’t care that a handful of civilians aren’t going to shell out the $3500+ this thing will cost because it’s chambered in 5.56. Your only hope is that someone with big enough pockets requests it. |

FN products are overpriced, in my opinion and I have a couple. I like the new gun but CZ has something similar for much less.

They really just needed to make a regular SBR ready 16 or pinned 17, but that works too I guess.

You think those people aren’t going to run cans? Wow. This one is strictly marketed towards civis (even tho LEO agencies can obviously also get them). LEOs and other gov agencies were always able to get these in the full PDW configuration for months if not years. Price is what stops a lot of agencies from acquiring it. |

View Quote Need a SCAR rear sight assembly? https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/3147600020 Yes’s, this is Midwest Gun Works catalog, but per MGW, FN parts pricing is set by FN America. This very sight was $150 prior to price increases that hit right around the time the NRCH parts hit the market. |

So Otto arms is the second best option, if it fits. |

I am more excited for all the IG gun bunnies to get theirs and posts pictures holding them than I am at the idea of owning one.

Seems FN decided to take a page out of the old HK “you suck and we hate you” playbook and up it a couple of notches with their pricing.

companies just can't help but come out with retarded products/platforms these days.
that being said, they'll probably sell shit loads |

The question is will FN sell the stock?
For the money I think I’d rather have a short B&T APC 556… |

I know it's a running joke that's been done to death, but I just can't get past how every component of their rifles is a different color. (At least in FDE.)

Almost 4k???…..for that?? And its not even .300 blk Wtf FN. Retarded

I don't believe that most of them will end up suppressed. |
