Quoted: Either Iceland or the Orkney Islands in Scotland. Depends on which one has the stormiest weather. I like storms. For a vehicle, a midsize pickup. I’ll be hauling a lot of firewood. I like having a fire in the fireplace. I’ll come back to Virginia to die. View Quote Most folks go to Florida to die. I'd have chosen New Zealand once upon a time - but the country is a shit show now & I don't see the damage being fixable
Would pick either Finland or the Czech Republic - maybe Sweden In all cases - somewhere rural - about 20 miles from the nearest town maybe Oddball choice(s) - somewhere in the Channel Islands, maybe Jersey - or possibly the Isle of Man |

Whichever country went least authoritarian due to the wuflu. Maybe Mexico. They didn't seem to give two shits about it. I'd rather deal with cartels then overzealous bureaucrats.

Quoted: Canada View Quote Can I have all of the OP and Montana, Wyoming or Idaho? If I -have- to pick another country I'd consider Alberta, Canada. Supposedly less crazy than the rest of the country, much lower population density, similar environment to the Mountain West, I could still have a few rifles, woods carry permit might be possible. |
