Well another miss at a diff Walmart for the shells .
They showed 90 in stock . Lady could t find any . Grrrr ETA:If anyone in metro Phoenix finds some , I’d like to buy some from you ! |

So I think I have an explanation on the inventory issue on the Federal dove loads. The inventory we see is based on a per box count, BUT the case bar code will scan and ring up at the 10 box quantity price yet NOT impact the inventory count.
So, if there are 10 in inventory on Brickseek, but someone else already bought 10 boxes in a sealed case, Walmart's inventory count is screwed. These were a seasonal item so the inventory guru's must not have gotten too concerned with the issue so as to cross reference the inventory numbers. Dove loads are very often sold by the case. Had a long talk with a good clerk about this and this seems to be a reasonable explanation. |

I stopped by one store this morning that showed 12 of the 7.5 shot in stock, nowhere to be found. I saw 20 in stock at another store a few miles away, drove there and got 20 loose boxes of 7.5.
Surprisingly, I found the spot on the shelf for them at the first store with a $2.50 price tag. The other store had them sitting on the shelf with no price tag. |

Well I check my local Walmart for that 7.5 12 gauge ammo. After finding somebody he asked what I was looking for and I told him the product name and he said it's sold out a while ago. Didn't even try to look. The manager was right next to me and didn't act like she even cared. I scoured the ammo counter and around the corner where they carry all of the target loads. If they did have any it was in the back.

I checked a few Walmart stores that where supposed to have a lot of stock of the dove shotgun shells. Two of the three searched everywhere but couldn't find any.
I know I'm going to get the details wrong, but a manager at the last store explained what likely happened. After a final clearance price mark down, a special internal product code is assigned to the product. It is or is like a new SKU for it being on clearance. He said the problem is the employee assigned to do this sometimes doesn't link the new product code with the old original code. When the item is then sold, the new coding will adjust that code's inventory count, but since it was improperly linked, the original product code's stock level stays the same. That manager seemed knowledgeable and had employees search everywhere before he came to his conclusion, so it seems believable. It also makes the most sense of why we aren't finding the shells and other items. |
