I have a 2007 Suburban, purchased it used about 9 months ago with 48k miles on it. A few months after i bought it i had a dead battery one morning, put a charge on it for a few minutes and it started right up. It was fine for a few days then it did it again. It happened 5-6 times in about 2 weeks. The truck would be completely dead, but after a few seconds on the jump box it started right up. The battery was about 2 years old so i bought a new one, few weeks later same problem. Its now on its third battery since i bought it. Cant find any drains anywhere, its all stock inside. I took it to the dealer a few months ago, they put a new alternator and battery in and replaced the body control module that was a recall. It was fine until a few weeks ago. I did some google searching and find forums and website dedicated to the 2007 GMC trucks with the same issues. Is there any GM mechanics that can help out? This is my wifes daily driver and we are expecting out first child in January, i need this truck to be reliable or i am force to sell it and buy something else.

Interesting,

Check all of the connections going to and from the battery. Make sure they are not bulged in the middle, loose, corroded , etc.
Check all of your grounds to make sure they are not corroded or broken from the motor to the firewall, frame, etc.
Check all of the connections associated with the alternator.

Join a couple of the truck forums and start posting, someone will know whats up!

Good luck

We had one of those that was doing the same sort of thing, only it would seem to go dead on the owner after sitting for an hour and a half at a soccer game.  We replaced the batt., alt. programmed the modules, and it continues to exhibit the condition.  We then replaced the battery cables, including the cable from the 175 amp fuse over to the underhood fuse block, and that finally seemed to cure it.

did you check for a draw on the battery? If your on the 3rd battery and its still having the same issue its most likely not the problem
