Radar data indicate the aircraft was attempting a go-around at the time of the accident. CCTV reportedly shows the aircraft moments before crashing into a soccer field between the limits of Toluca and San Mateo Atenco. Ya I’ve been into Toluca many times and the 8500’ msl and density altitude it definitely can cause performance problems. With the mountains all around not a lot of good options to land either. It’s mountains and densely populated slums. |
