This is one of my very favorite stage musicals, and the 1972 film version is also a favorite of mine. For obvious reasons, I always seem to watch it on or about July 4th each year. For any who haven't seen it (or maybe haven't even heard of it, for that matter), it comes on Turner Classic Movies tonight (10pm Central). Even if you don't usually like musicals, you might like this one. It has some very funny moments, of course, and some good songs but if you are an American and you don't get choked up a time or two toward the end there is, IMHO, something wrong with you.
