Max is an 18 month old German Shepherd who has been held in a horribly abusive household. He lived in his crate where he would be beat for having accidents and sprayed with lysol and bleach for barking. The neighbor heard his screams and cries and witnessed him being stabbed repeatedly with house keys for not going to the bathroom fast enough outside. She gave the abusive owner an option either sign him over to a rescue or she would call the police and press charges. She contacted me and I removed him from the situation Immediately. Max is safely  hidden in a foster home atm.I have spent time with Max and he is such an amazing soul, I have seen no signs of aggression but he does have PTSD when he smells bleach and or Lysol, he panics and paces frantically trying to get out of the room! I do believe he would be best in a home with older kids only because of his past , with PTSD he could have triggers I have not seen! He is good with other dogs very gentle with puppies I have seen , but again he needs a home that understands his past and will have patience with him. That is willing to work with him and be supportive and understanding. NO CATS. HE WANTS TO EAT THEM. .    He loves car rides and loves walks , he listens so well already , he just needs a chance at a life he deserves!! Absolutely no cats for him though!! He thinks they are lunch …. |

So many times they are bred for conformation only, and have zero ability to be calm or learn manners. I blame bad breeding, and of course homes that don't even try to train them as pups. All they want is ribbons. |

| @motoguy he is amazingly sweet! I was expecting a scared, damaged, aggressive dog, he loves staying by you and following me, he does have the puppy nip when he gets excited, doesn’t bite at all but he does a little puppy jaw of excitement, but after telling him “no” he stops and looks at you like he is waiting for something !! I sent you my number, please text me and I will call you. !! My phone doesn’t accept calls for some reason |

Said he likes to chase, but she thinks it is playful, which means he could be trained out of it. Not sure though what he would do if he caught one.
