Anyone know where i can find a good condition Springfield replacement barrel for the original 03? (NOT the 03A3!)

I bought the rifle and upon cleaning thouroughly i discovered minor pitting the whole length of the barrel.

Could "Fire Lapping" it clean most of this up?

It's not as bad as some C&R rifles i've seen, but bothersome none the less.

How does it shoot? Just because it has some, as you say minor pitting, doesn't mean it won't shoot.

I have a RC K98k that has a pretty rough bore, but it shoots great.

if it's minor pitting, you could try some metal polish on a cleaning patch and pass through the bore with some metal polish, then use some clean cloth patches and run them down your bore to polish it out

If it shoots good I would leave it as is. it can be restored a thousand times but can only be original once.
