I hate Japanese cars and trucks even being here in America in the first place, but that motor looks cool and I admire the skills it takes to make custom swaps like this happen. It is with utmost reluctancy that I tag this thread for the outcome.

I don't need someones forgiveness. I just sit back and smile at the reactions from people. Especially the angry ones that probably wouldn't have the talent or the ability to do what it takes to do the swap in the first place. Pretty much nothing that comes out of the shop is built to appease other peoples sensibilities. Whether it is my vehicle or any of a few friends that we build for and/or help build for. The reactions, good or bad are just icing on the cake. You can go back to imagining two boys fucking now if you'd like. |

Motor is powered by electric.
Engine is powered by combustion. I guess you should get a Tesla motor over a Prius motor. |

LOL Sorry, the truck is going to be built a little different. You cant say it will be a cookie cutter hot rod. My buddy wanted something different, and it was decided something different from the common LS and Coyote and SBF cars was in order. The look of the truck, Other than sitting a little lower will be the same. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Different is cool! SBC's in everything is boring. I stuck this 6BT in my chopped '50. https://i.imgur.com/wcndVCx.jpg View Quote There is a 70 Chevy pickup running around here with a 4BT in it that was done at the shop. We like to call it Wimpy. The old guy that it was done for loves it. Aint got shit for HP, but plenty of torque. |

This + a single 7875 = purist heart attacks. Love it. Throw a 9" in the back for ultimate identity issues.

Looks like there are quite a few '56s floating around with the 2JZ - sounds like a fun project!

LS is almost always the right choice, but i think a 4bt or 6bt would be cool.

Seriously disappointed in the lack of diesel here.
Detroit Diesel 4 or 6 cylinder 53, or if you are brave, a 71. Find an old school GM Diesel stamped valve cover for it to date it. Want comfort, or modern, or drop in, or easy ?? Cummins crate engine: https://cumminsengines.com/repower.aspx |

Excellent choice OP.
Nothing more boring than a Chevy with the bellybutton of engines, the SBC. like an LS has never been done before either. Your Toyota choice is excellent, replace one straight six with another, I like it!! Nothing better than to see something that the builder has gone off the reservation and done something different. |
