My 2000 ford focus is having a serious loss of acceleration... I have had the spark plugs changed the serpentine belt changed and the timing belt changed as well as the head gasket.  I was wondering if there was anyway that I can fix this... It is driving me nuts and is starting to get costly... I was wondering if there was anything else I could do to fix this...  Any advice would be helpful... Thanks in advance.

*Yeah I know it is a Ford... I know that isn't the answer to all of its problems...

Does it do it worse while making right hand looping turns (like turning onto a cloverleaf) and/or when you've got a quarter tank (or less) of fuel in it?

There was an old service campaign about faulty fuel pumps in some Focusesess (Foci?), fuel would run away from the pick up and the engine would starve, usually at its worst when in a turn.  Shoot me a PM with your VIN, I can see if your car still falls under the campaign.  Ford extends the warranty coverage on the fuel pump for an additional 10 years/unlimited miles if your car falls within the replacement range.
