I just bought a 2005 Ford F250 4x4, truck runs and drives great but I'm having some issues with the dash. The tachometer, trans temp, water temp, and oil pressure guage works but that's about it. The speedometer doesn't move at all, the fuel guage works periodically but most of the time it doesnt, and the odometer isn't working. Also as soon as you take off the tow/hual light flashes in the cluster along with the check engine light.

The transmission doesn't seem to have any issue so far, so is this cluster related, a fuse or are none of these issues related and just start fixing them one at a time?

The high beams also don't work, and the low range indicator in 4 wheel drive doesn't light up even though low range has engaged.

Start looking for a bad connection.  Since a most of the problems are with transmission sensors, crawl under with a flashlight and start following wires.  Look close where they pass by hot stuff to make sure nothing is melted.  It could be a bad ground.  You could try running a piece of wire from the battery negative post to the transmission case to see anything starts working.

Lets do a few , the low range indicator may just be a bulb , same with high beams , Start there first , if not dimmer switch for high beams. which is the multi-function switch on the left side of the steering column . Fuel gauge is a sender usually . Look at the trans it has a sending unit for the speedometer on the left rear if it does not use a cable , That is going to make the tow/haul light flash also . check fuses it never hurts .

I misread the OP, and thought the trans temp and tach were out. What whiskerz said.  The speedo comes from the output speed sensor on the trans.  No cable.
