Any one here have any experience with them?  I'm looking at the quad cab, 4x4, with the 5.7.

I've had a Sierra in the past, loved it, and would not be opposed to another Chevy/GMC, or even a Ford, but the price point with the options I want makes the Ram a better deal.

Just switched from a 2014 Chevy K1500 to a 2015 RAM 2500 Quad Cab and love it. The ride is awesome and still hauls heavy loads great. I had issues with the VVT and cylinder shut down with the Chevy. I've been a die hard Chevy fan for forty years, but I'm very unhappy with the fit, finish, quality of the current Chevy trucks. LOVE the RAM!

That is partly because the ram isn't so competitive with its competition.

I had a 2012 Ram 2500 up until last June when I traded it in for a 2015 Silverado 2500HD. Loved my Ram and really didn't have many issues with it except for exhaust manifolds having to be replaced a few times. Apparently iron, steel, and aluminum don't mix well. Only traded in to get back into a diesel and GM had the nicer interior and much better sound system. I'm not brand loyal. Don't care what anyone says. They're all built like crap nowadays

No experience with the half tons and the 5.7
but
We have a couple 2500's with the 6.4 at work and they have been great trucks.

Had an 05, a 12 Quad cab, and now a '15 2500 w/6.4. My buddy has a 15 5.7.  They have all been excellent.

My only issue has been the ESC and ABS in the 12 and 15.  It jumps in way too much trying to "save" you on snowy/icy roads.  I just pull the fuse in the winter.  The 5.7 is as solid as they come.  The air-ride equipped 1500s ride better than any truck should.

I don't know much about the 1/2 tons. Have a new PW and the nanny state stuff is pretty intrusive on it. I'm getting a tuner to kill that stuff as soon as they get one to work on the 16's without having to buy a new PCM to go with it.

We have a '15 1500 at work.  Has coil springs in the rear, and damn, does it sag when you put weight in the bed.
Also, it may be to OEM tires, or the 40 psi recommended pressure, but it is very sketchy in the rain and snow.

Just got a 2016 Big Horn Crew 4x4.  It's my 4th Ram.  What do you want to know?

That's why I keep buying them.  MSRP on my Bighorn 2016 is 47k  when you add those same options on a Ford or GM, it's about 8 grand more.
I love the ride of the Ram with those coil springs in the back.  Rides better than most cars.

Yup.  The OEM Goodyears....suck.  First time I drove my Ram in the rain, I almost swapped ends on a highway on ramp.  I couldn't imagine driving it in the snow.

Ive owned a 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16.

16 Current truck is the nicest interior Ive ever had.

Very dependable, fun trucks.

Ive also owned a few GM trucks, a few Fords, and a Toyota.

All of them are ok, and some do some things better than others.

The blanket statements on this site about vehicles show a distinct lack of experience with the product in question.

'14 crew cab here
pretty happy with it
only issue is as mentioned the factory tires
truck has no problem blowing the tires off and takes some care in wet weather

that 4 link rear rides really nicely

my only real gripe is the factory spray in bed liner
its too thin and too hard
it chips off easily from minor use
wish it would have came without so I could get a aftermarket spray in

I actually chose a 2012 over a 2015 because I actually DIDNT like the better tranny which would get the better gas mileage. Its weird but for me, a v8 with 400 tq/hp ought to feel like a v8 with 400 tq/hp. The 8 speed tranny just shifted too often so you never felt like you had all that power, it just kept shifting to get the best mpg even when rolling your foot heavy into it. Weird and counter productive, but Im old school like that I guess lol.

There is no perfect 1500 and rams are great trucks for the money.
