| Is there any way a AWB will pass with 244 Republicans and 197 democrats in the House. I was worried for a while, but don't the numbers seem to large in our favor to loose this fight? Has there been any votes that have gone the way of the (D) when the (R) held such a high majority? |

He can simply veto any bill that doesn't have an AWB attached to it. |

Yep. |

The senate is huge!
Not all republicans vote conservative and not all democrats vote liberal. Obamacare anyone? Who knows how the new AWB will go. We can only hope there are no more incidents in the next two months. If there are, plan on a new AWB. The politicians will look at the polls, and every poll they look at will be calling for more restrictive gun laws. |

I don't see an AWB going through congress, but BHO can get the ATF to make semi-auto's an NFA or something else just as dumb. An executive order seems way too far fetched though. YMMV, but I am just going to ride it out and see what happens. If you haven't already, contact your senators. |

As the blood cools, Americans, and the House will focus on the real issue. Mental health reform. The Dems and the ACLU will not agree, so it all dies. The only real answer is hardening our schools. It needs to happen. Could you give an example of such reform? Because there may be unintended consequences that may impact us all. Such as using those "reforms" to suppress political dissenters. |

How about we put diagnosed fucking kooks in the looney bin where they belong? You go all the way back to Patrick Purdey at Stockton in 1989 as the grandaddy of them all and he was crazy as a fucking loon. |

They have gone away, that is why we are having issues with loonies. Most states don't even have a state run mental institution anymore and if they do, they have one and it is for the criminally insane. Hospitals are closing their mental health wards as fast as they can. No doctors are entering the field. At least not enough to fill the gaps. There is no way to fix headcases. You can throw drugs at them, but if the drugs go away or stop working, it can go bad very fast. In WI, the hospitals are shutting down almost all of the smaller mental health facilities. In the past few months Cumberland, Ashland and Superior have closed their wards or are very close to doing it. Eau Claire has two hospitals that do behavioral health and they get all of the patients. It is getting to be a huge problem and it is one that is only going to get worse. |

Dr.s get em calmed down temporarily, then boot em out the door until their next scheduled appt.!!! |
