Lately I've been forced, kicking and screaming, to do some fixin' on the computer and, as a result, I now have a fairly quick, 3d capable video card for my center monitor. I think the other two are on a 3d capable card, too, but I'm not sure. Then, naturally, I had to play with the red/blue 3d in Portal 2. Bad idea for my wallet. Now I'm forced to go fetch a 3d monitor to replace the 19" center monitor, which means I can move the current monitor to the right and finally get rid of the ancient 17" CRT that's sitting there now (I'll figure out what to do with the printer that lives on top of it later). So I looked at the back of both of the current LCDs and... crap, no VESA bolt pattern, which means I can't put the three on a stand so they'll stay lined up correctly. Dammit, that means I need to replace all 3 (fortunately there's at least some resale value in the LCDs). So I got to thinking, will 3d work with 3 monitors? Anyone give that a shot yet? Yeah, I know, what could I possibly need 3d on the flanking monitors for? I have no clue. No games with 3d support will run worth a damn spanned across 3 monitors (don't ask how I know this, it resulted in hitting that little button on the case).

Hmm, if I'm getting new monitors, I could get a motherboard with 5 PCI-E slots and I have a spare video card... 5 monitors?

Ok, the simple version (or the version for the simple ):

Will 3 3d monitors work on one computer with one set of glasses?
