If as Trent Lott says the country is run by the talk shows. Then a 3rd party is electable.

The latest rounds of legislation has proven there is no will of the people being done in Washington.

The "but" in this line of thinking is I don't think even the talk shows could agree on one candidate.

With the talk shows and internet. Politicians can no longer do business as usual. The people are watching and this troubles them greatly.

I'm sure there is alot of folks registered (I) like myself. Really dosen't matter how you are registered. Getting people out of the recliner and working for a candidate, then the biggie. Going to the polls and vote.

We might save a country....ours.

The idea of (people based) representative government was fairly well suited to agrarian times.

It is hopelessly outmoded now.

Trent Lott is an idiot.  The Congress Critters are upset that the internet and talk radio shows disperse information that was previously not known or disseminated until after a bill passes.

Lott used to be a decent conservative, now he is just a RINO like the rest of them.

He needs his ass kicked by Fred Thompson.

I'm not convinced that Fred is the answer. Still a Republican, and look what we get. Can't tell the difference between (D) & (R).

Don't get me wrong, before moving from TN I supported Fred for the Senate.

Most people won't vote third party because third party can't win, because most people won't vote third party, because third party can't win, because most people won't vote third party...

Hard to break that cycle.

So, I will continue to vote for the Rinos because it's that or commies.

I got turned off to the idea of a third party with Ross Perot.

Thanks to him, Willie Clinton was elected twice with less than 50% of the vote.

IIRC, Clinton's winning percentages were something like 43% and 38%, which means approximately 60% of the people voted for somebody other than Clinton (and willie called it a "mandate" ).

Perot's third party split the conservative vote both times.

The electoral college elects the Pres, not us.

I'm well aware of the electoral college.

Have you ever cast a vote for a presidential candidate?  If so, why?

If that 60% had been for a single candidate we would have had a different president, instead of that ... weasel.
