do the 4473 froms still have to be signed in black ink? i thought  they did, but maybe it was the old yellow forms.

sorry, i just wanted an excuse to use that pic.  

with sensitive documents like that, i would always use black just to be safe.

The instructions at the top of the current 4473 merely say "All entries must be in ink."

For additional guidance I would point out that the Form 4 that you submit to have a Machinegun or other Title II weapon transferred to you, and therefore should be even more important, specifies "blue or black ink" in its' instructions.
