The Saudi's recently sentenced an Internet Blogger to 1000 lashes spread out over one year. He apparently disparaged the Saudi govt & the Clerics. Could anyone really survive 50 lashes per week for a year? Even with state of the art Medical treatment it's too much trauma for the body to endure, not to mention your heart and mind? I had always assumed when they sentenced a guy to 100 lashes (at one time) it was a death sentence? |

They have stopped the lashing and it may be rescinded as the first round of 50 seriously fucked the poor bastard up. On a side not they beheaded a person in the next town over not to long ago for......wait for it............................................. Practicing withcraft  |
