For post 58,000 there's this nonsense:

A guy in Finland was issued a $58,000 speeding ticket. And Finland thinks that’s totally reasonable!

He posted about 12 Facebook updates about how mad he was about it... but there’s no fighting this ticket.Because in Finland, speeding tickets are calculated based on your income, and since Kuisla is a millionaire... that’s a pretty big fine.

The idea is everyone should have to suffer the same amount for the same crime.According to the Wall Street Journal, here’s how it’s calculated. The driver’s monthly net income is reduced by 1,500 Finnish marks, which is about 235 dollars.

That number is divided by 60 and the total represents the person’s daily disposable income.

Each dependent - like a spouse or child - gets 15 marks knocked off.

But up to 20 marks can be added based on other assets like real estate. That final figure is called a "day fine” which is multiplied by a number between 1-120, based on how big the infraction is.

That’s up to the officer to figure out.

The highest ticket, so far, has been $103,000 handed to a Nokia executive, who made about 14 million dollars that year.

Isn't it more like a flat tax...everyone paying the same percentage?  Bernie wants to take more because they *have* more.

Not to mention, Finland is 1.7% of the United States' population.

It's a little easier for Government to manage.

Finland has a one days wage fine system. Say street sweeper makes 125 day. Fine is 250, so he would have to work two days
to pay fine. Now Nokia ceo makes say 2500 Day, so his fine is 5000. Sounds fair
