Even if you don't get a great deal of responses, people are reading.  Any form of self accountability you can utilize has the potential to benefit you greatly.

My favorite form of self accountability for bringing about behavioral change is the dietary log  or the fitness log(tracking every single item consumed and/or tracking all physical activity performed).  This is just one tool, of many, to choose from.  It's all a matter of finding what works for you and what you can incorporate into your lifestyle.

The best of luck to you!  Don't give up and don't allow yourself to become disillusioned.

Also, get plenty of "before" pictures.  You'll want them later...

We care, and you're not alone.  I'm 6' and 262.  2 months ago I was at 282.  Congrats on your decision.  See what you want to be in your mind and every day make your decision to live that day like the guy you see.  Your body will follow.  Would the guy in your head down 3 or 4 beers at night or binge on cookies?  (Cookies are my personal kryptonite)  No.  The fat guy in you would, though.  Which guy are you going to be?  Good luck.

Week 1 update

Well I was really busting my ass for the first few days. Then I woke up one morning and my back hurt so bad I couldnt stand up. For the past few days I can just lie on the couch and even that hurts. Really painful so I guess I strained something pretty bad.

I did lose 8lbs though must be mostly from dietary changes.
