I have ordered Softronics Flash upgrade, and will now order their NPH exhaust and an aftermarket intake filter.  Can't wait to install!

No.  I just cruise the streets

ETA:  These young dudes in their mustangs have no idea how fast this car will run.  Sounds so docile, but when the turbos hit. it's a rocket.  HAHAHA, when they catch up at the next light, they ask "is that thang stock????"

Absolutely beautiful! The Porsche Turbo has always been my grail car. The 996 is finally starting to come down in price enough that they are obtainable.  I have been browsing the forums and reading on what to look out for in anticipation of buying one in the next year. Please keep us posted on the mods and the improvement they make.

The prices were dropping, and then there were a few articles published about how the 996 turbo is a great bargain. When I bought, Manheim was showing 37-40k avg for clean.  Now, it's up quite a bit.  So they are beginning to climb.  I wouldn't wait too long.  The 993s are now going for stupid money.  I'll post up when my tune is finished.  I'm going to have an indy shop do the plugs and install the exhaust.

Very nice.  I had been eyeing used 996s turbo or C4S but bought a new truck instead. Cant have them both.

Just curious, but has this car had the coolant pipes pinned/welded?  It seems to be one of the only common issues on the 996 turbo.

I haven't heard about the coolant pipe issues.  I'll have my mechanic check on it shortly.  I have having a Speedtech race cat/straight pipe system installed during the plug change here in a few weeks.  The ECU update increased the boost, and the car gets in boost much quicker.  Softronic says the addition of the exhaust will increase the boost and decrease lag even more.
