Was wondering, can anyone tell me where the relay for the cooling fans is? Ya know the ones behind the radiator. and is there and way to test it to see if it is bad outside of just putting power direct to the fans to see if the fans work?

The cooling fan relay is part of the CCRM relay system, it's a black box in the front  of thye engine compartment.

Your testing method is correct, put power on the fans, check grounds, and also check power to the fans with a voltmeter when they should be running.

If you suspect the CCRM, a backwoods test is to remove it, smash it flat side down on a bench or something, and reinstall it. If the fans start working, it is failing, and will burn completely out soon.

Well I pulled the fans and there is 3 posts and ford only usesthe 2 outside ones (just by looking at the plug). I put direct power from the battery to the terminals for the fan. The fans did not spin at all. So I am thinking that the fans are dead., I was thinkiing of getting a new relay just to see if it indeed wa the relay and see if the fans would still kick on but then another problem cropped up. I said F' it for now.

Will let you guys know what I turn up in a day or so.
