I want a 9mm revolver DA/SA.
Is there such a beast that can run 9mm, .38, & .357mag?
If so, who?
If not, what are my options?

S&W recently brought one out. 9mm only. Don't think it'll do 38- 357 because of the tapered case.

986 and 929

I think charter might have one, and I believe Taurus used to.
IIRC Ruger used to have an Sp101 in 9mm

Can't remember the name, but yes a company made a da/sa revolver that could shoot .380 up to .357 mag, without moon clips. Methuselah or medusas, something like that.

Is it just a case of swapping out a cylinder?

In order to shoot both 9mm and 357/38, you are going to need two cylinders.  I don't know of a DA revolver that does that, but Ruger has a Blackhawk that will.

Ruger makes convertible single action Blackhawks that come with a 357 mag cylinder and a 9mm cylinder.  I don't think they make any DA/SA like that though.

Smith and Wesson has, or can, though it's of questionable utility outside of 45 colt and 45 ACP.

This would would do it.
But at  $4000+ though.

Like the ad says, runs anything from .380 to .357.
Great scrapers gun, says it can fire over 100 different calibers.
How does it do that?

Seems like a good SHTF gun too.

There are little spring tabs on the ejector that press against the cartridge. It looks pretty simple.

FN sold a 9mm DA revolver that had a 357 conversion cylinder.

They are fine, actually made by Astra under contract.  Not too common in the US and show up on Gunbroker a few times a year.

I think Korth made one that had conversion cylinders. They were a little bit pricey though.

9mm Revolves.

It revolves? What exactly does it revolve around?

On our first trip to Paris, back in 2009, I saw several police officers there carrying Ruger Speed-Six (or Security Six)  revolvers chambered in 9MM. I don't remember if they were Paris Municipal Police, French National Police, or Gendarmes, but I do remember the revolvers.

Anymore?
I'm thinking it would make a good gun for the old lady.
Well me too.
I would like to get one in  .45ACP as well.

Any spring loaded revolver like that pushes the case to the outside, so wear is uneven  and other problems. There is a reason Charter cancelled theirs.

The S&W 940 centennial with full moons is a nice setup.

a 38 spcl is ballistically equivalent to a 9mm, get a .38

Not quite  price equivalent, though.

Think the French had one. Called the Manhurin IIRC. Was supposed to be a heavy duty gun. Well built.

It revolves around the sun at 18.5 miles/second.

ruger Blackhawk. I like mine, 9mm isn't as accurate as 357 but what the hell.

And half-moon clips.

I don't think I would mind moon clips.
I just want the ammo compatibility.
If used defensively it most likely would be 10yrds or less.
In the home.
