His introduction to this channel that he started just 3 months ago is also interesting.  I don’t think it’s any secret how China got to where they are now in just 30 years, though.  That “giant sucking sound” that Ross Perot warned about leading up to the 1992 Presidential election went into overdrive once Clinton got into the White House and beyond.  

Now, there’s getting to be less and less that can be sucked out of the U.S., so the doors have been opened up wide for the invaders to come in and rape & pillage what’s left that can’t be sucked out by normal means.  That just makes it easier for China to ultimately come in and take over the land.

Germany election results show far-right party set to win first state vote

The far-right Alternative for Germany won a state election for the first time Sunday in the country's east, and was set to finish at least a very close second to mainstream conservatives in a second vote, projections showed.

A new party founded by a prominent leftist also made an immediate impact, while the parties in Chancellor Olaf Scholz's unpopular national government obtained extremely weak results.

Projections for ARD and ZDF public television based on exit polls and partial counting showed Alternative for Germany winning 32-33% of the vote in Thuringia — well ahead of the center-right Christian Democratic Union, the main national opposition party, with about 24%.

In neighboring Saxony, projections put support for the CDU, which has led the state since German reunification in 1990, at 31.5-31.8% and AfD on 30.7-31.4%.

unfortunately they will not be part of any Government - they Established Parties will do everything they can to not allow them a voice

I was hoping that in Sachsen they would have more votes than the CDU.

Watching that it irked me that they painted Ukraine's attacks into Russia as somehow outrageous while completely ignoring that Russia invaded Ukraine. Then they painted Israel as a country that needs to stop attacking Iran, again as though Israel is the aggressor.

All while campaigning on how they're defending democracy.

Now that some have actually been elected, the knives will really come out now.

I’m sure criminalizing them and then arresting them or banning them will become a primary strategy.  Arresting political opponents & supporters seems to be the preliminary strategy of many countries these days.

We’ve been watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy this Labor Day Weekend.  Of course, WWI, WWII and Nazi Germany were inspirations for the story, so there are obviously some parallels that stick out in what’s happening in today’s world, too.  This scene with Sam explaining why we fight and why we don’t quite, even against incredible odds, stood out to me as we watched Part II last night.  I just thought it was worthy of sharing here.

We’re in the midst of a new story unfolding, a new battle to preserve the good in this world.  We can’t ever give up, no matter what happens on November 5th and beyond.

Full length director's cuts, I would assume?  

Nah, it’s just the regular version and what’s worse is I’m too lazy to pull out the Blu-Ray discs, so we’ve just been watching it on Amazon Prime.  I won’t be watching the Amazon Prime series, though.  

The extended director's cut of the trilogy has an extra 30, 40, and near 60 minutes for the 3 movies.  11 hours 21 minute run time for the 3 movies, 15 discs.  It's a time investment but all the extra film footage is nice.  

I’ve been watching a lot more podcasts lately due to the news cycles and it’s been eating into my movie watching time.  Parts I & II are about 3 hours and I think Part III is around 3-1/2 hours.  Part III is on tap for tonight.  Still shorter than the length of many podcasts.

I've been doing the same, lots of podcasts, trying to keep up with the fast moving current events and I haven't watched too many movies.  I did catch Monsters of Man and Warhorse One recently on Tubi, and they were both excellent movies.

I still haven’t gotten around to watching the new Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning yet.  I did watch Hostiles on Tubi last week.  Disappointed in it but I’m also disappointed with most recent movies, anyway.

There’s also just podcasts for shear entertainment value that’s thrown in the middle of all of this, too.  Damn, it’s hard to stay somewhat grounded & balanced in today’s world with all that’s going on.

Is it any wonder why some choose the blue pill and just live a life full of ignorance & bliss?  Unfortunately or fortunately, I’m just not wired that way.

Same for me.  Once you know, you can never look away again.

So now that fake President figurehead Biden has obviously been put out to pasture for the last 5 months of his term, now that the entire country knows he hasn’t been running the government for over 3 years, I have a serious question for the US News media:
