Aside from opening a few pieces of mail, I haven't used it for much at this point in time. I do like it, especially for the price. My only gripes so far are the complete lack of jimping and the coating on the blade makes it stiff out of the box. I spent a few hours flicking it open to break it in which has it is pretty smoothed now. Blade came decently sharp but has a little room for improvement. I'd likely buy one again if I ever lost the one I have. I like having cheaper blades to thrash on.
ETA: It leans on the larger side of folders and has a healthy weight to it which is something I actually like about it. It feels very solid in hand and has good real estate for those with larger hands. Also the thumb studs have sharp edges (not cut you sharp) and will chew up your thumb nails a little if you use them to flick it open. |

How is it as a processing g knife? The active duty is a pretty sweet knife for breaking down deer. I prefer it to my game warden at this stage. I use my knife tip for splitting the pelvis and the AD is more suited for that. I suppose the AD would be a technically inferior skinner because it doesn’t have much belly, but it’s got enough to get it done. My only gripe is the choil can hang up on skin at times, but it only happened once last night and isn’t a big deal. |

So light in the hand, perfect blade size and shape for an all-arounder. Wood feels great, and is surprisingly light in the handle. I have wanted a knife from Matt for years, but never put in the effort and wait for a custom order. Saw this one come up for sale and it was a good all around design, and bought it so damn quick... Now I'm eyeing an Nessmuk... View Quote |

Finally found a benchmade I've been looking for, a 615 mini rukus. It's a nicely made knife, a little awkward to open.
