Thankfully I'm getting new glasses tomorrow because the first thing I said when I saw this pic was " damn, that's a lot of KAC vert grips."  God, I'm getting old.

Chard is much better than spinach. Ours is still making leaves from our spring planting - we just keep pruning more off of them.

I forgot you had that too, sorry. He can't drink because of the diabetes I think, or maybe it's just my wife's sister lol.

So basically you are just fat restricted to some degree?

Grabbed the leftover taco meat and mixed it into my eggs this morning. Forgot to wait to add the salsa before I grabbed a pic.
Wife finally found a use for one of my bowls.
Managed to cut some grass, sweep up some saw dust and hang out in the wood shop.

~$4, but there's 72 of them plus washers. And they get torqued to 550 ft-lbs. While you're lying on your back on the floor. Then 16 other bolts that are larger and get torqued to 1200 ft-lbs. Oh, and the 70 bolts for the sprockets that get torqued to 220 ft-lbs, plus 120 degree turn. Yay, undercarriage work!

I just finished the undercarriage of another last week, then I've got another one after this one and then one more.

I never carry it because it tends to hide under things on my end table so I forget about it. "Found" it again last night and left it out so I would grab it today. I'd like to try out one of the micarta versions.

My missing knife has been found.  It's not even in freaking New England, let alone Connecticut. They promised next Tuesday.

Because the great reveal has really had the wind taken out of my sharing with the class, it's a CR Sebenza 31 large with Bog Oak inlay and a Magnacut blade.  Just like the cool kids have. 😆

Any regrets working on that brand?  I've just about had enough of my current employer and I'm pretty sure there's a spot open at the local "yellow iron" dealership. I tried dropping off a resume when I first moved here but they wanted me to apply online and I never got around to it. Lol. I think I'm going to now though.

I love what I do, but it has moments that suck. Landfill is a large portion of our work, so that might be different for your local store. Trash machines just flat out suck. The trash tears them up. You'll never get it clean enough to not be wearing a lot of it by the time you're done. It doesn't fall or wash off like dirt. We can't even wash them before working on them because our wash bay filtration system will get fucked up just from one machine. If the trash is dry, we'll try to knock out as much as we can outside and take air wands to blow out the loose stuff. You will itch like a mofo, even moreso when you're sweaty. That being said, Cat has standards that each shop must conform to so you'll usually have access to all the tools you'd ever need. If it's a newer construction building they're required to have a/c to keep a positive pressure in the building to keep out dirt. Heavy equipment pay is pretty damn good too.

It comes in waves. I'll be stuck on nothing but skid steers for a couple of months, then undercarriage work comes in and I seem to get it. Plus, I seem to get it done rather quickly so that's an incentive to the boss to give it to me. It's a non-mental job so I can just go off into la-la land and crank some music and the day goes by quickly.

We don't have any good wing places around here, and I'm not good enough of a cook to do wings. There used to be a really good wing place about a half hour away but that closed up.
