I don't think a bus that had some fucking bum in it will draw much money. So, for now, let's enjoy what Randy gave us.

A co-worker had one. He called it "the doctor killer". IIRC; there were some AD's (airworthiness directives) to beef up a problem-prone area in the tail section. But that was after several had broken...... Not sure about any of that; subject to correction.

If you watch the video you see relatively minor damage under the large window behind the passenger door. The windows were broken and the side was dented.

If he is serious about selling it and I think he is, he should be able to do a public records request with the investigating agency and compare the VIN from the report to his bus. That would remove any doubt for a buyer.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. I will pass this on to him when I see him tomorrow. He can take it from here.

Very possible. I seen the pictures of the bus with my friend and another band member when he first bought it. The paint was still original and other identifying features were still present.

I know some mod's were done but the VIN is the only way to be sure. He will have to get that info.

I was 12. My dad was driving his Kingswood station wagon south on Prarie Ave between Redondo Beach Blvd and Artesia, just after passing under the 405 when I heard the radio report Randy died....I'll never forget it

It's hard to tell because the side shown in the video is the side painted over and you can't see the front very well which is the part the OP took pics of.

OP, I'd like to see more pictures from the back angle, the back mural (does it have the 2 small circular windows towards the rear?)and inside if possible. I'd suspect the fact that it's been altered heavily from it's original condition and been basically left to rot would take a lot away from the value, not to mention someone is living in it.

Having said that, I'm sure it's worth something to someone if it is in fact the bus that was involved in Randy's death. I grew up listening to his music and he was an amazing guitar player, even if you don't like that style of music.

Nobody on the bus was killed.

The post crash pics of the bus I've seen didn't show too much damage to the bus.

Secondly, I don't believe that's the tour bus involved in the crash that killed Randy.

That may be a bus Ozzy used to tour at some point, but that's not the bus from the crash.

No not at all. The taillights are square as well. My friends are round.

The bus came from Calhoun's which is where I believe the other buses were leased.

I'm thinking my friends bus may not be the one involved in the crash.

I'll show him these pics and look at his original pictures when he purchased the bus to compare.

Definitely not the same bus. Your friend has a 01 model Silver Eagle. The bus in the accident is a Model 10. Completely different.

Thank you for your observation. I will tell my friend tomorrow. He's going to be disappointed. Not so much because its not the same bus but because the bum will most likely remain in the bus for now.
