Friends don't let friends join AARP. They are very anti-gun; in fact, they are the largest anti-gun organization in the US.
Many years ago, they sent out a 'poll' to their members about gun ownership. The questions were 'plain vanilla,' stuff most ARFCOMmers would agree to: should felons be allowed guns, yadda yadda. After the results were in, they announced to the world, "AARP's membership SOLIDLY supports gun control!" |

I've been getting solicited almost daily to call Washington and support this health care crap.
Obviously the leadership of AARP doesn't get the whole "you're old and cost the system too much, therefore we've got to let you die" provision that will be necessary to make it work. |
