I'm trying to do the Electrolysis Cleaning Method on a Mosin Nagant as shown here: [url=http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/ElectrolysisCleaningMethod]http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki

And here is an update on it: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=14&t=287356

There really isn't any formal convention, other than Red = Positive,  Black = Negative.

My guess is that your White wire is the Negative, and the Yellow wire is a Ground (or Shield) wire.

You could test this guess by briefly touching the Red and White wires together to see if there's a spark, and then do the same thing with the Red and Yellow wires. If you get a spark with Red and White (and no spark with Red and Yellow), you've pretty much proved which wire is which.

On the other hand, you could spend a whopping 3 bucks at Harbor Freight on a cheap Digital Test Meter, and know for sure...
