Whats the difference between the MP-1, the different upgrades/firmware, MP-1 Classic, and the MP-2?

IMO they really took away the soul of the unit when they went to the mp2....the mp1 is a legend!!

I agree. I have two MP-1s. One is basically stock with a few upgraded caps for noise supression and the other one I've done the Mk-4 mod using the schematics on adadepot.

Post your issue on the adadepot forum. MarshallJMP is a tech that still works on them and he'll throw some ideas your way if you give good description of the issue. Caps do go bad and it could be a simple and cheap fix if you can handle doing a few tests with a multi-meter. Scematics can also be downloaded from the site in case you want to take it to a local tech to be checked out.
