Yesturday I had a veteran tell me that if John F Kerry became president that he and several other veterans, family members and friends will fly the American Flag upside down for 1 week. Have any of you heard this also? Just wondering.

Isn't that a sign of distress? If so, it should probably be flown upside down the entire time he is in office. Hopefully this will not be an issue.

From the US Flag code:
"The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property."

I'd have to say it's disrespectful to fly the flag upside down because of an election. Asmuch as I hate Kerry I don't think this is the right way to protest him.
