It is illegal to put a pre-ban upper on a post-ban lower if it contains the following: a bayonet lug and a threaded barrel. If you grind off the lug, and have a muzzle brake PERMANATLY attached you are OK. Or you can grind off the lug and threads. That should also be OK. If you install a brake, make sure it is permanent. I believe most people have the brakes pinned and soldered on. Av. |
