when i first came here i called mags clips i had less than a six pack of beer yesterday i havent bought a new gun in over 3 months and the one i have my eye on now is a lever action i have sold and not replaced an AR-15 and an AR-10 once i got distracted and burned a pit full of BBQ (this may already be forgiven as it was chicken and the distraction was of a sexual nature) i have less than 1000 rounds of 5.56 on hand right now i felt so dirty, i had to get these things off my chest............ |

Quoted: once i got distracted and burned a pit full of BBQ (this may already be forgiven as it was chicken and the distraction was of a sexual nature) Yea though the Pie may be fresh and tasty and willing, neglecteth not thy smoking meat lest thy supper be crispy and unappealing. |

Quoted: I went to the Hun Farm and didn't shoot Mojo's MP5SD I'm very sorry. Last April I did.....it's cool..... My confession is even though I'm employed, I'll, most likely, not make it to the Hun farm in April/May..... New job is going to have me traveling constantly.... |
|
The first time I went to the rifle range (ever), I handled an unloaded rifle while people were downrange. I was QUICKLY shown the error of my ways, and never did it again. Many moons ago, I traded a pristine Colt Officer's Model with walnut grips for a FireStorm .45 STRAIGHT UP, because it had higher capacity. Oh great, now I'm crying again. |
|
Quoted: Quoted: I went to the Hun Farm and didn't shoot Mojo's MP5SD I've now been bitten by the 1911 bug and contracted AK fever. i've never shot an AK. (not to hijack, but what are some specific, cost-effective models?) i used to say "silencer." |

Oh, make NO mistake, I have put hundreds of rounds through the little black beauty, but alas, I failed to shoot it last week... |

I don't own an AR [>(] I hadn't shot one until 2 weeks ago for the first time. A M4 forgery Bushy, it was nice! I have the bug now, but I do have 2 AK's and one I'm in the middle of building. I also have a ton of other fireams though. Think I need to build an AR now............ |

I am an "Obsessive Compulsive" Lead horder. I current have about 1300 lbs of ingots in my kitchen. ( to feed my MasterCaster ) > ( to feed my SMG's ) _______________________________________________________ edit #1 additions I sold all of my commercial preban AR's to pay Lawyers. I once sold my prize Sig P220 when my favorite ex-girlfriend gave me a last second invite to her wedding to another friend of mine. I needed an airline ticket for the next day. I have given away my entire ammo stash in the last 30 days, it took several vehicle loads. I go to gunshows primarily to nag people to vote pro-gun. I did not earn enough income for 2003 to require me to file income tax. I still have that hole in my front door. |

i've never shot an AK. (not to hijack, but what are some specific, cost-effective models?) romanian SAR-1 or WASR-10 would be a good first AK for a good price, i sell them for $340 so look for something in that range My confession is even though I'm employed, I'll, most likely, not make it to the Hun farm in April/May..... well thats a damned shame..........come hell or high water i plan to be there, although my portable BBQ pit is out of commission right now so i'll have to commandere a larger version My girlfriend drinks more beer than I do. sounds like my kinda girl! [}:D] I once wasted an entire box of 12 ga. shotgun shells trying unsuccesfully to kill a butterfly. seems like completely valid entertainment to me....... |

You guys are lightweights. Beat this: In 1982, I purchased a brand new AR-15 for $386. I then purchased ten USGI 30 round mags out of a bin for 3 dollars each. I loaded the mags with no-name reloads and went to a gravel pit. I dumped all 300 rounds through it and experienced two jams. Without knowing anything more about the ammo or magazines, I pronounced the weapon unreliable and used it in trade on something else. So, unless you have boned your sister or stolen food off of a starving kid's plate, I have this contest won hands-down. Please don't taunt me on this. I have a hard enough time living with it already. |

Confessions.... When I started back to school in 1996, I sold a post-ban colt "match target", and, worse, my pre-ban PWA that shot .5 moa with black hills reman. I sold the PWA for $450. I bump fired my 9mm AR last weekend, and even worse, I enjoyed it. I'm down to less than 100 rounds of 9mm (see above). 1k in the mail, though. I'm down to less than 100 rounds of .40 and .45, but again, more is in the mail. For the first time in a long time, I'm down to less than 500 .38's and .357's. I didn't clean my 9mm AR for nearly 2 months of shooting wolf ammo, though in my defense I was just curious as to how dirty it would get and still run. When it got so bad I couldn't handle it w/o getting black soot on my hands, I gave up and had to clean it. I use the term magazine, but think 'clip' rolls of the tongue better. I still miss my mini-30, another victim of making sacrifices to start college. For that matter, if someone made good mags for it, and the mag retention system was better, I'd buy another. Mine was much more accurate than average. I haven't shot my 400-yard crow killer (.220 swift) in way over a year. Two weekends ago, I went to wal-mart and bought not only the last .40 value pack but also the last .45 value pack. On a positive note, I figured out how to handle wal-mart employees. You just get to the counter while they're away, scope out the value packs, and when they come up, just point and say "You see that box sticking out? I want all of those. And all of those underneath and to the left." I have not been to a public range in 3 years, and have never shot a firearm in the company of anyone I've met since 1999. This also means I've never been to an arfcom shoot. I think chrome-lined bores are overrated. I have used a dremel tool to make a 1911 run (it ain't pretty, but it runs). I own magazines and parts for guns I do not own. |
|
I've never owned more than 500 rounds of 5.56 at one time. [>(] I'm completely out of the 5.45 right now and have been out of 7.62x39 for over five months. I have yet to clean my beautiful carbon fiber H&K shotgun's bore. [>Q] I'm seriously contemplating selling one of my ARs (which also happens to be my first gun ever) only because I don't like the look of the stainless steel barrel. (or at least the upper) I used to say CLIPS and SILENCER I didn't like HEAT all that much. (it was ok, but not the best) Please have mercy on me! I loved Falling Down if that makes up for it. +80% of my 80GB harddrive contains porn. I lied when I said "I did not have sex with that woman". |
|
Ok, I'll play. I drink too much beer. I have several AR-15s and I will never be satisfied. I hoard mags and .223 and see no cure in sight. I used to say "clips" until I came here four years ago. I have way too many "irons in the fire" right now and don't know what to do next. I want another NFA weapon but can't afford it. I would donate an organ to get it though. I envy some of the people on here that share the hobby of ARs with each other and have fellowship with other AR owners. On a more serious note, if I could steal a million dollars and get away with it. I would do it. |

Quoted: I once wasted an entire box of 12 ga. shotgun shells trying unsuccesfully to kill a butterfly. Hold my beer and watch this.... A friend and myself were railroad hunting phesant several years back and were down on the tracks with tall banks on both sides. It was a warm and calm day. The leaves were all sorts of fall colors. From around the bend came a swarm of monarchs. Thousands! Well, we just stopped in awe. They were flitting everywhere. It seemed like a flash back. Well my friend razes his 12 ga., and I asked what's ya gona do? He said shoot some and check the pattern. Well he does and just one falls, just like a leaf falling from a tree. Just one from a 12 and number 6 shot. Not to be out done, I raze my 16 and point into the swarm. One just explodes into a puff of dust. I felt bad, and he felt bad. We ended up just standing there for something over a half hour (I'm guessing, time seemed to stand still) just being a part of the swarm. It was so quiet and warm with all that color everywhere. |

In 1993, Colt's Manufacturing Co. offered me two brand new HBar Sporter AR15s for $750 each. Included were a carry case for each, two 20 round magazines each, two 30 round magazines each, cleaning kit for each, and some other doo-dads. I thought it was too much money. Ouch. |

In the evenings when my wife is talking to me, I'm looking at and thinking about................my two AR's. My best friend and shooting buddy owns a gun shop for his livelihood. I buy Wal-Mart Value packs............. I laid out of work one day.........told my boss I was sick..........and went to the shooting range........ My wife has no idea what I spend on my gun, shooting hobby. She would SHIT!! if she found out......... |
|
I went to the Tulsa Gun Show last weekend and only bought one gun and no ammo. I cussed at my chainsaw today. And my trimmer. And my blower. I also ran my diesel tractor with only a quarter of a tank of fuel. I flew an airplane under the powerlines on pipeline patrol. |

The only thing I'm willing to confess is that a while back I chimed in on a thread titled "Who Doesn't Own An AR?" and said, "I don't own an AR." What I meant was "I don't own AN AR--I own several, and they are all pre-bans." A couple weeks later I saw DPeacher post that he was surprised to see me say that. I never have told him the truth, until now. Is that a hanging offense in Texas? [:(] Sorry to get a private chuckle at your expense, Bro. [:D] |

I took the class for my ccl close to 2 yrs ago, & I haven't sent for it yet. Every time I get the money I spend it on more gun stuff, but I desperately want my ccl. I feel like I've let my family down, but buying my gun stuff is like some sort of a sickness or something![>(] I also had the money for my membership renewal, but spent it without realizing it, & now I may lapse, because were really tight financially at this moment, & my membership is past due as of 3-30-04![>(] I bought Tears of the sun, & have never even seen Band of Brothers.[>(] I do envy you guys with full auto weapons,& desperately want to shoot them for you.[>(] I don't care in the least what kind of gun Al Pachino used in heat.[>(] I feel so much better, great post topic! |

Yes, it is a hanging offense, but it doesn't involve a rope or a tree. In order for you to pay for your 'transgressions', you will have to come on down to the Hun Farm and 'hang' out at the most kick ass bar in Foard county! [:D] |
