So I'm bored, all jazzed up on Vicodin and was thinking.(yes it can be hazardous to my health)
There are ALOT of members and lurkers on ARFCOM. We are a huge fighting force if you just organize and form up. We would be a very potent fighting force. We have a crap load of Active and prior Service members. We are armed to the teeth. We have skills in every area I'm sure. Most of us are level headed. I think this would one of the toughest teams that America has ever seen. We have a bunch of great guys here that would make great leaders. The amount of information that is being held in the minds of our Members is second to none. Seriously think about that fighting force. We have Ed Sr. and many more Doctors here. We have Rangers,Seals, Marines and Army Infantry. We have Communication guys. Gunsmiths(Armorers). Mechanics, Engineers and so much talent that it could make a real hardened organized fighting force. It is just a thought fellas. Now what say you? P.S. If you really think about our talent pool, this is a VERY formidable fighting force.

well fuck, I'm a financial advisor, I'm of no use in SHTF.... lol maybe I can become a gold advisor, come SHTF tho, there's a lot more arfcom guys I know by screenname that I'd rather have on my side then most of my family and friends, I got lots of sheeple as peers and it kinda sucks knowing SHTF they wouldn't have a clue on what the first thing to do is.... |

I'm sure I'll end up on some government list of some sort for saying it, but I think you're right. Yeah, there is a lot of arguing that goes on here, but I think if the SHTF, we could unite under a common cause. We are such a large group with such diverse skill backgrounds that there's is probably not much we couldn't accomplish once we got out of our own way.
There are good people here that I would proudly stand should-to-shoulder with if there was a need. |

When the time came to organize I think we would put down our differences as did our founding fathers and do what is required of us to be an effective fighting force. I just know in my heart that I have NEVER talked with or have been around a greater bunch of fellas in my whole life. This is the BEST place to waste my time and I know we ARE capacble of getting the job done. Seroiusly think about guys. Where are we going to get a better team? |

In all honesty, in a SHTF sit? I'd give fellow ARFCOMers more of an ear than most other folks considering the mix of folks I've seen here. I don't have any family left and you guys are my adopted family. I would rather spend it with you knuckle heads than anywhere else. I know we are all different but that is what makes us unique and forms a TRUE TEAM!!! Just imagine the possibilities. I don't want any glory(fighting force) just a safe place to raise my children. I would lay my life down to give my children and the future children of this country a safe place to live and grow up like I had when I was a kid. |

I am sure I can be of help, I am up to date on the most current tactical communications gear available in 1996, does this force need a Central Office technician? I am an ace on Nortel DMS switches, and any kind of ATM transport gear you can name! I can also fix your cable, cable modem, or VOIP, but I don't know how much use that would be in a tactical environment.
ETA: I pity this elite forces armourer and supply clerk, they will have to source and secure seventy five calibers, and will have to handload another fifteen wildcats. |

Get with your local friends. Make sure you're all in shape, your first "training session should be a 5-10 mile hike with an overnight stay. Start learning skills- study tactics first aid etc, read books on the illegal ones.
