Question:
I have pain in my wrist that started today. It seems to be in the outer forearm right at the wrist, hurts like a bastard when I twist my wrist (think turning a doorknob). I was running a lathe today doing some make-from parts out of 3/4" bolts. There is a snug fitting bushing that the bolt slides into so the chuck doesn't squash the threads. To get the bushing off the bolt I would slap it down on a wood table top to slide the bushing off. I'm thinking I just sort of strained something doing that so my remedy is aleve, and ace type wrap and maybe some ice. Sound reasonable to you? Also, I don't have insurance right now so even a Doc in the box is kinda out. Should I just amputate now or wait til gangrene sets in? |
