IMO DayZ is boring, the zombie thing is played out and overated.
some advice, do the tutorials if you havent played before or not used to playing PC games. It will help once you get going in single player. once you get bored with single player hit up the editor and make some missons. This is where the ARMA series shines, you learn more about the game making missons then playing the single player. dont forget to hit up Armaholic for DLC. and as for multiplayer, alot of the servers have switched over to this DayZ garbage so good luck finding a good server that isnt locked out for a clan or one that doesent require mods to enter. They are out there but just hard to find. |

Game is very clunky, graphics suck, and day Z mod gets boring (think ridiculously fast zombies, dying a fuck ton and getting murdered by the first player you run into, and dying every time you get some where). Normally I am a fan of realistic player killing but I think it actually hurts the game more then helps it. |

Arma2 is an outstanding Mil sim , that can do sooo much . there are so many mods and addons , its about endless and Arma 3 is due out soon. it is a the premeir VR Training engine , used for MIL , police and fire dept and many other services and used in several countries but it is packaged as VBS2 , The Arma series is just a retail port of it.

| Arma 3 is due out soon , get online and play some of the mods . join shack tactical or tactical gamer.com and play co op with a small group is much more fun , especially the ace mod . Learning curve is a good month or so . I have been playing for over 7 years and still learn new stuff , plus learning to make missions in the editor is tons of fun. |

So I played online the last two nights. I found it really confusing. People we talking but no one would respond to anything I had to say. They just loaded up into helicopters and left me at the spawn point!
One server had no sound at all. and that was weird. and what the hell is the Tajikistan revolution servers all about? I've no clue what to do on those. So basically two nights essentially wasted. On the other hand I finally completed an armory challenge! |
