Went to the ATM earlier and as soon as the money came out of the machine, it was pulled right back in. I was charged for the withdrawal but didn't get any cash.
Has this happened to anyone else? Did the bank refund your account? |

I've had something similar happen to me at a Bank of America ATM, except the machine never even spit out my cash. It was a huge pain in the ass for me. Bank of America customer service is a joke. After all was said and done (months later) I did get my money back and promptly closed all my accounts and will never do business with them again.
Good luck OP, I hope there is a quick resolution for you. |

Who do you bank with? The bigger institutions will automatically credit the withdrawal right away. PNC Just keep an eye on your account. I wouldn't worry about it. The cash was diverted and there is a sensor there when the cash passes over it. The network that monitors the ATM will pick that up. |

Yes, that happened to me once for $300.00. The cash didn't come out as far as it usually does and when I tried to grab it the machine and I played tug of war for a few seconds before it won. I got the receipt and called my bank (it was their machine) and they told me they would investigate it. I didn't hear from them for a few days so I called back. They told me they investigated the wrong machine. How convenient, I thought , since I told them the location and machine number from the receipt . So after a few more days the notified me that they had credited my account so it worked out but it took longer than I thought it might.

I had one that just barely had the corner of the bills sticking out. I managed to pull it and it had shorted me $20 on a $100 withdrawal.
Went it the next morning and they gave me the cash right there. I wasn't the only one that came in the next morning. They shut it down immediately |
