Whatever happened to the Navy? they went to sea with their donald duck uniforms that all army personell laughed at during the asvab i took yesterday i admit i chuckled too. all their recruits yesterday were female though, and none of the armys were, so i'm not sure how i feel about that. |

Quoted: Quoted: For the love of god, do not say "hooah". Please, please, please, please, please, please don't. Hooah in my presence was usually preceded with "Push." God how I hate that phrase. "How ya doin?" "Hooah!" Answer to everything my ass...are we smurfs? Atta kid. |

Nice haircut and good luck.
I'm sitting my house 17 miles from you. AC's set at 72. Ceiling fans are creating a nice breeze. The beer is ice cold and refreshing. I'm in and out a lot and away from the PC frequently, but IM me if you need anything. I'll do what I can. BTW, they give you a projected graduation date yet? |

Quoted: Wow - Nice to know I am not the only one with a visceral hatred of "Hooah." I think I might take up saying, "smurfy" though. We had one E5 former Marine who would say "Err, kill." anytime someone said "Hooah" or we were asked to produce ID at the DFAC's. Hell, he would just say it for no reason sometimes....he said it so much, he got me hooked on saying it. The funniest shit in the world was goin to a DFAC where you had some POG unit asking for ID's and they'd go "May I see your ID please?" "Err, kill." They would have a look on their face like you just slapped they mama. ![]() |

They really do allow cellphones nowadays? ![]() He'll lose it tomorrow. Why tomorrow? At Benning, the night/morning you arrive at Reception is when you get shook down for all contraband. |
| It's alot easier to just let them keep the cellphones than it is to collect them all up, lable them, secure them, pass them back out, etc. etc. etc. Plus, keeps some poor schmuck from having to account for 300 or 400 phones. Also, you don't see a whole lotta pay phones these days. I don't spend much time over at 95th AG, but I'm pretty sure there aren't many payphones for the troops to use. |

We were all given sheets of paper of what NOT to bring to Reception/BT-AIT with us. Plus, our civilian clothes and any contraband that we had were shut up in a locked little morton shed until the day we graduated. Not sure why Jackson wouldn't do something like this if we Infantry types can get it done. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Quoted: Quoted: Fort Benning is where they send the low ASVAB scores, right? No your thinking of Paris Island. ![]() Men that don't have vaginas between their legs go to Benning. Seriously though cameras and internet? You should be ready to jump off the top stair case head first after your first night not chatting it up!. ![]() |

I know a guy that enlisted as 11B, with a poly sci undergrad, and a law degree on top of it...at one time, he had 4 guys in his squad with 4 year degrees. Then again, he was in the ranger regiment. The dumbest and smartest guys I have known in the Army have all been Infantry. There is no career field harder to stereotype. |

Quoted: the "glasses" we will wear in bct http://www.fieroloki.com/uploader/files/1/glasses.jpg Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile NO MORE BCG'S? WTF have they done to my Army. |

Then again, he was in the ranger regiment. There were 2 CJ degrees and an English Lit. degree in my platoon. One of the guys with a CJ degree got it from Penn. St., I was like, "Damn dude, the fuck are you doin here?" Some people just want an adventure. |

In my unit, we had a schoolteacher, a ton of machinists that work for GE, Boeing, Spirit, etc., all kinds of guys in college getting their degrees, of course cops/corrections, and so on. |

Field Artillery has some of the dumbest enlisted and smartest officers I've found. I have yet to meet a 13B Soldier who I would consider smart. I still maintain hope there is one out there, somewhere. I've known a few rock (not in "hard" but as in "dumb") officers that went that route - but most avoid it because the math scares them. |

The lower enlisted can be really really dumb. By E-6 or so, they've weeded out the really dumb ones. I really like all of my 1SG's and Commanders here, they're pretty good folks. I've been told that FAOBC is the most failed OBC, mostly due to the math. |
