Folks please don't sit back and smile just yet. Our legislators are looking at having hearings on the 9/11 Commisision findings. I know that this sounds innocent at face value but I remember going to bed one Friday night about 10 years ago thinking that we had just barely escaped a piece on Anti-Gun legislation very near and dear to our hearts only to find out later in the weekend that they had seen fit to have a special workday just to pass this trash. I can see some of them thinking of introducing (possibly attached to another bill) and passing more such legislation in the name of National Security. Please keep in touch with your legislators as some of them might have staff checking their mail and messages. Keith |

Keith, I agree. The fight is not over, not yet. Actually, it won't be over on Sept. 14th either. Like you said, let's not sit back and think it's over and we as gun owners have it made. WE DO NOT have it made, and we still have work to do. I would assume that when Congress goes back to work the first week of Sept. that there will be many attempts to pass AWB b.s. doesnt congress actually have to be in session for anythng to pass? And if this hearing happens, its not considdered in session, right? I think theres gonna be some more whining in the media in the next month and a half.... and maybe they'll try something in teh remaining 4 days in Sept.... but the ban is dead. |
This morning on MSNBC I could have sworn I heard it said that congress will come out of recess to review the 9/11 report. If that is the case, anything could happen. Planerench out. |
