For our elected representatives, that is. Remember back in the 1970s when the Fed's clamped down on the speed limit? How did they do that? By withholding federal highway funds. Simple. Remember back in the 1980's when the Fed's clamped down on the drinking age? States that didn't increase the drinking age to 21 were denied federal highway funds. Remember back in the 1990's when der Slickmeister wanted more police on the roads? He earmarked federal funds for police departments to hire more officers. How about we put a stipulation on those federal funds, WITHHOLDING FEDERAL FUNDS TO POLICE DEPARTMENTS THAT HAVE SANCTUARY LAWS IN EFFECT? Do the same with funds for medical care since the hospital districts are being bankrupted by the health care for illegal immigrants. Time to get the ball rolling. |
