So, my brother dragged me to church yesterday because his life is going so well and mine is currently in shambles as he puts it. I usually don't go to church unless it's Christmas mass. We get to St Joseph's and we sit near the back and after awhile, I'm scanning the crowd because I have no interest in the sermon. I spot a very cute asian girl and the first thing I think of is how great it would be if she was giving me a blow job. I quickly try to squash that thought, I'm in church for christ's sake!!! All of a sudden, images of asian porn is floating around my head and I'm thinking of Lily Thai, Nautica, and a host of other asian porn actresses. So, am I going to hell for thinking of porn during a sermon in church???

According to Christianity, they're going to hell. Haven't you read Dante's Inferno? The first circle of hell is reserved for the unbaptized and the "virtuous pagans," or those who lived good lives but weren't Christian. People who never even had the opportunity, too, like Virgil. Edit: not that Dante's Inferno is canon, but there are passages that support that statement. I forget chapter and verse, but isn't "no man comes unto the father but through me" one of the most famous new testament passages? |
blah blah blah We don't agree on religion.  Religious people aren't going to question their beliefs because of an internet post, and no one is going to be impressed with their piousness. All these threads do is give non-religious members a chance to spit in the face of religious members, and religious members a chance to masturbate. |

Here's an honest answer from a similar experience. One time when I was a missionary a group of us went to the temple. Next thing I knew I found myself with a raging erection and waging an epic mental battle to fight off naughty thoughts of a particular sister missionary (we were all very modestly dressed the entire time, FYI). I mean, my internal battle can only be compared to a mental equivalent of the Spartans at Thermopylae standing against the Persian army. I was literally pleading with God the entire time to forgive my wayward thoughts but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't seem to keep the thoughts from popping into my head. I've since come to the conclusion that I was experiencing a surge in testosterone at the time (age 19) and have faith that the Lord will take into consideration my valiant struggle for mental self control. No, nothing ever happened between me and the sister missionary. The struggle was contained within. |
