Any good links to tutorials or tip sites?  I have been reading up on most of Adobe's resource pages and rwillustrator's blogspot.

This is my first crack at vector art and I am trying to get up to speed.  I'm a Photoshop guy but vectors are a mystery.

Anything you're looking for in particular? Illustrator's my favorite program, with PS being a close second.

I enjoy the tutorials at Layers Magazine's website ... the mag is good too because it includes tips for all of Adobe's products, not just one...

I was hoping you would chime in.

What I want to do is start doing line art, text wrapping and other stuff for logos and t-shirts.  I have been using Photoshop for awhile and am familiar with layers and other Adobe basics but I want get into doing vectors to do some clean, scalable artwork for printing.

ETA: Thanks for the link, just the stuff I am looking for.  Standing by for Hoplophile's links.

Cool. If you understand layers you're well on your way. If you've messed with the Pen tool in Photoshop for outlining things, you'd be in GREAT shape.

IM or email me if you have any more questions.

that's a huge if....

I bet <1% of PS users (among those those that don't already use Illustrator) use the pen tool for selections.

Right, but I am trying to give him confidence that if he's messed with that tool at all, he's got a leg up in Illustrator...

Just trying to make mental connections so it's easier for him to learn the program.
