| I have always gone to AIM first for my ammo needs but it seems their great priced are bring destroyed by shipping cost. 1K 7.62x39 $209.50 plus shipping $44.84, this just seems a bit high. I know it's my choise to shop were I want and I dont have to buy from them. bla bla bla |

AIM, Inc 3801 Lefferson Rd Middletown, OH 45044 Surely you can drive there cheaper? Seems like you are looking at it wrong. While everyone else is busting their butts to get it shipped to you in a timely manner you can go fishing and enjoy yourself. "It's good to be the king." |

Thanks guys, I haven't shopped around a whole lot but if it seems to be the norm now a days then so be it. Just seems in today's market there is no such thing as " The cost of doing business" anymore. Everything gets passed to the buyer. Handling, 3% credit card fee, restocking fee, fuel sercharge, ect..

Once you learn how much cheaper it is to order stuff in bulk and have it shipped via freight, life will become cheaper for you.
I want to say I paid under $150 for freight shipping on 300lbs of stuff from AIM a year or so ago. Ground rates would have put it well over $500. |

Ah yeah, you are one of those ignorant customers. You believe a business should absorb all increases in costs to continue to operate and not pass them along to the buyer. Get the fuck out of here, if businesses operated like this they wouldn't stay in business for long. They either operate at a profit passing those costs along, or they no longer exist.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: ammoman.com has free shipping. $229 per 1k rounds. Ammoman's shipping isn't really free, the shipping is part of the total price. True, but it's still cheaper than anywhere else I can find. And you can pick up a Vietnam bringback SKS complete with import markings. |

j&g sales is in az. Unfortunately, a run to Prescott from Phoenix will eat about $40, so no win there. Prescott is a nice town though. Maybe make a day trip of it? J&G always use to come to the Phoenix Crossroads of the West gunshows and there used to be other ammo dealers at those shows that had decent prices. I haven't lived there for 3 years though so I don't now about lately. http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/calendar.php http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=7.62x39 |

PSA was doing around $11 shipping for a case of ammo a few months ago. I never got AIM shipping costs being 4 times more...... PSA is doing free shipping all summer. I just ordered some ammo from them a few weeks ago. Their prices are pretty good to begin with and the free shipping makes them pretty much unbeatable right now. |

Quoted: Yes, because it was actually in stock. I've never found AIM's shipping rates to be artificially inflated and generally they're one of the cheaper places I've found I can order from. Where have you found the same product delivered for less? In stock > saving $3. I love AIM, I've dropped a few grand there, but for months they might as well have closed the site until they actually had merchandise. ![]() |

Amen, brother.
AIM is either padding their profits which inflated shipping prices, or they are being severely boned by their shipping service. Maybe they don't understand that businesses, let alone high volume businesses, do not pay standard joe-schmoe shipping costs. Either way, their shipping is way out of line with reality, all things considered, and is the reason I rarely order from them. |

Every industry does this. It is built in to the price. They just don't give you the option to save the money and pay with cash, because it serves them to just keep the built in extra 3% if you do choose to pay that way. The "cash discount" is actually gun owners trying to help each other out. |

aim is great IF they have the part in stock. they always have low prices.
that being said, their shipping is most of the time double what others shipping is from around the same distance. that and their bullshit ID requirement and i look elsewhere for my ammo, and will always buy elsewhere. i dont give aim a lot of business due to that. that said, they are a good company and have never done me wrong. i just dont like their ID policy and vote with my CC. |
