Picked one up on black friday,  was wondering how well the factory supplied mount is holding up over time.

I am probably one of the few who really likes it.

It's very solid and maintains zero well enough that I often remove the optic from my AR when cleaning it.  Some folks don't like the big knob, but it doesn't bother me at all.  Easy to use, no adjustments necessary, applies proper torque each time, and doesn't mar the top rail.

Bought mine used from the EE.

Still works great, has held a zero.

When I put it on my rifle the first time it needed only a very minor adjustment.

I may add some loctite when I get unlazy.

Isn't it the same mount that is on the military M68? If not it is really similar. Very sturdy, and combat proven in two wars for over 10 years.

Heavier than it needs to be but I like it. As said above, it holds zero very well. I've removed mine from my carbine several times and haven't needed to make any adjustments.

I've got 3 of them and the in-the-box mount holds zero as well as the Bobro mount does.

They work, they're just ugly.

No problem with mine.
Holds zero.
Saw no need to buy any other mount.
Some people don't like the big knob on it though

So far so good, taken off and replaced 3 times, 3,000+ rounds fired, has been left on 12 hours a week for right at a year and still bright with factory battery. Only complaint is setting 1-4 is useless for everyday use, can't see the dot but I read thats for night vision iirc.

Ugly and the knob is huge and gets in the way if you're stuffing rifles in a tight space.

Mine hold zero and haven't come off on their own.
