Plus they make a good option for some cheap training and for shooting squirrels.

In the $100 range, I'd recommend either spending about $150 for a used RWS 34 (go to the Yellow Forum Classifeds to find one) or get a QB-78 Co2 rifle. I would NOT suggest you go to a discount store and pay $100 for whatever they have on the rack (even if it says Remington or Winchester or Ruger or Gamo).

Because there's no reason to reinvent the wheel. If you want to talk airguns, there are already forums for that.

Because it's not like we don't have TONS of forums for things that don't even relate to guns at all.

Adding an airgun forum would at least be within the same theme as the site's original intent.

Well, yeah, but I doubt you'll learn much about airguns from your typical ARFcom member. Most folks here have little to no experience with quality airguns. You might as well go to the airgun forum for information about AR-15s (yeah, I know, your thread would get locked, but the point's the same).

There are a few airgunners here.  I would be fine with adding a forum for it and if it didn't work out, it could always be removed.

Well sure, the more the merrier. There's certainly no harm in having additional forums.

Quite right.

One would think that air guns would be more popular with the survivalist folks, light ammo, easy to maintain, can bring in small game with one.
