I'm going to be traveling by air and I need to bring along my Aimpoint. Not the whole gun, just the optic. Any issues with me carrying that on to the aircraft, or does it have to be checked?

If the TSA weenie running the X-Ray thinks it's a gun part, he won't let you on the plane with it. And I'm here to tell you that once they've said "This can't go", they NEVER change their mind, and it doesn't matter how you try and reason with them.

My advice? Put it in your checked luggage.

Legally does it have to be checked? since you mentioned gun parts I presume yes...

You mean like a $6-7-800.00 Aimpoint?

I would mail it, insured.
