This will be an interesting game to watch.
I will admit Florida has the potential to open up the score, but will they? I am really interested in seeing a well run spread offense against a well run 3-4 defense. Florida has not seen a 3-4 defense and Bama is doing some outstanding things with it, specifically against the run. I think the key is Bama's OLBs. Any bama fan give some insight to exactly how good they are? I think the advantage goes to Bama in this matchup. On the other side of the ball, Bama has seen the 4-3, most use it, but they have not seen it to the level that Florida uses it. The closest would be LSU. Advantage Florida. I have no idea what will decide this game, but I believe it will be close. I give Bama a slight advantage due to Florida not being experienced with the 3-4 defense. Bama 24 Florida 21 |
I was hoping for UF to win thinking that it would be a better game with OU if they make it but I keep hearing how Obama"s D is so great that I am pulling for Obama now so the SOONERS can show them what a real offence can do as opposed to those wanna be SEC offences.

Even our old nemesis Will Muschamp said yesterday that Florida will have a very difficult time moving the ball against the Tide. Their defense has been a work-in-progress throughout the season, but they appear to have really gotten it together here at the end.
One of the main things that will limit the Gators will be the ability to get their offense on the field. Bama will eat up the clock and will pound the ball relentlessly. I think both both teams may get a couple of explosive plays, but the defenses will reign more than the offenses. Alabama will wear the Gators down and get a couple of late drives that put UF away. | Im a huge Bama fan but Im not making any predictions.......well maybe one. This game is gonna have me on the edge of my seat, gonna have a bottle of tylenol close by. I know it sounds stupid for people who dont live in Alabama and knows the rivalry but beating Auburn so badly pretty much makes up for any thing else that might happen this season. |

Yeah, I'm a Bama fan and it's hard for me to predict this one. The only thing close to the type defense Bama has that Florida has seen this year was Ole Miss. And Ole Miss won. But that was just one game and we all know in college football that anything can happen on any given Saturday.
I do think Florida, without a doubt will be the toughest opponent we've faced this year. But we've grown alot this year also. I think we're as prepared as we ever could be for this game. We just have to wait and see how it shakes out. Bama has what it takes to beat Florida. But to do it.......they'll have to be clicking on all cylinders on each side of the ball. |

I've never seen Bama teams as well prepared as they have been this year and Bama has away of getting up for the big games or playing to the level of competition.
I think the Defense will give the Gators fits but they will put up some points. If the offense has a good day and takes care of the ball..........Bama wins. IMO this game will come down to turnovers, one or two mistakes will make it go either way. Bama 31 FL 27 |

I really hate that my team didn't prevail in this one. But I give credit to the Gators for doing what it took to get the W. Bama played very well and I can't complain that we gave them the game. A couple of minor mistakes really hurt us. But we still played a solid game. Florida is deserving of the victory and I congratulate them.
As much as I fervently pulled against the Gators tonight, I'm 100% behind you in keeping the NC trophy were it belongs. You guys went out there and earned a win tonight. I'm not a bit ashamed of Bama's play. We've got a bright future ahead. We'll likely end up 13-1 with the only loss to the national champion. Not bad for a team playing 15 freshmen and only graduating 9 scholarship seniors. I'm very proud of what this young Tide team has done this year. Roll Tide And Go Gators in the BCS game. |

Amen...........Bama played a hard fought game, ut just didnt have enough horses in the end. Not bad for a team who wasnt supposed to even be this far down the road. The future is indeed bright,and the NC will fall to Bama down the road.

I would have said the same thing had Florida lost. It was the best game of the year against the best team. And I'd be cheering for the Tide next month if they'd won. I predict right here and now there will be a rematch next year, especially if Tim and Percy stick around. |
