I've seen him twice and each time was a Rock and Roll religious experience. He's also a hockey fan, so big plus there.
"From the Inside" is one of my favorites. |

And one of the foremost collectors of Studebaker Avantis as well...........He also went to bat for Pat Boone when Boone made that heavy metal parody album for charity. Pat was heavily criticized and blasted for it because of his clean cut image, and Cooper stood up for him

Damn good at golf, too. |

School's Out for ever is still one of my favorite songs. Came out the year I graduated high school, 1972. I heard a guy talking about sales, specifically car sales. He said all the sales men but one ignored this scruffy looking guy at a Phoenix Cadillac dealership. The guy who was courteous and helpful sold six cars to Alice Cooper.

| My drum instructor was a student at Musician's Institute in the early '90s when he landed a gig as Alice's drummer. He played with him for about 6 months around the LA area as Alice's main drummer was out of commission (think he was in rehab?. Many people get burned by the rock n' roll lifestyle and he said Alice always avoided it. He's been performing for so long he didn't attend rehearsals. He'd just show up for the show and immediately bug out when it was over. He never partook in all the after show stuff. This probably is why he's been successful in the industry. |

I believe he was a heavy drinker for years, but he cleaned up in the late 70's. |

He had some good songs, like KISS , but wasnt a record band that you just listen too. GOD i'd love to be able to travel back in time and see bands like Cooper and KISS live in their heyday. His shows today are better than they've ever been. I haven't missed a tour in Michigan since 1987. |

(there was a thread here with pictures). I was totally amazed by how much energy his show had. |
I would expect nothing less from Alice Coopers shoulder angels and devils.
Ok, here's the link to it, friggin' shit.

That wasn't always true . I saw him several times in the 70's and early 80's and he was falling over drunk two of them. |

I believe he was a heavy drinker for years, but he cleaned up in the late 70's. He was, he says he doesn't recall recording a few of his albums. He won't play them in concert because of it. Which is a shame, I really enjoy DaDa |

He carved his initials into the back of one of my guitars with a buck knife years ago. This was at an album signing sponsored by my then employer.
I have a coupe of pics somewhere. Circa 1992-1993 I think. He seemed to enjoy it more than dragging a sharpie over album flats or posters. His body guard was not amused when I took the knife out and opened it up. 350 lbs. of very determined man covered about 10-15 feet in absolutely no time. Thank God Cooper understood what I was looking for and prevented my face from being ripped off and shoved somewhere unspeakable. |
