| Quick question. I am about to watch it, should I watch the directors cut or theatrical release? I have never seen the directors cut, is it better or worse that the theatrical? |

I have the DC, but I really don't remember the differences from the theatrical. I don't think its anything major like in Aliens.
Go on and watch and let us know! Eta: dammit, my curiousity is piqued now...I'm gonna have to dig it up now and watch it. So much for getting to bed early. Thanks, buddy! ![]() Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Damn, I've seen the chestburster scene numerous times and it still creeps me the fuck out. The baby alien puppet is a bit dated, though.
Haven't noticed any "new" scenes, but then again I haven't seen the theatrical cut in more than 15yrs so I probably wouldn't realize it anyways. ![]() Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

The Director's cut of Alien has a few extra extra scenes that just augment or stretch out scenes from the theatrical release. There are also some sound effect changes. It's like 11 min of additional footage.
The one's that come to mind: Click To View Spoiler There's more I'm sure, but these come to mind. |
